The Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse, and Picasso, have always been a source of inspiration with their use of color and form.
I work in watercolor/acrylic/mixed media on paper and canvas.
I have always been interested in drawing and loved picture books as a child.
The classic illustrations by Ludwig Bemelmans (Madeline), Sir John Tenniel (Alice's Adventures In Wonderland), and Frederick Siebel (Amelia Bedelia) were and still are, my favorites.
Historic locations/architecture and vintage objects are my delight and inspiration
Historic locations/architecture and vintage objects are my delight and inspiration as I feel they have timeless beauty and charm. I incorporate these influences in my illustrations.
I create a mixed media painting and may finish some details digitally.
Four of my paintings are available as poster prints.
